Sano Foods was formed to provide better snacking options for people like myself who suffer from allergies, autoimmune conditions, food sensitivities, or who are simply looking to eat better and feel better. 

At 26 years old I was diagnosed with a debilitating autoimmune condition that made it impossible to work, walk, or even care for myself. With no good treatment options, I turned to food as medicine and began an anti-inflammatory elimination diet that changed my life and helped me make a full recovery. In the two years since my diagnosis, I have dedicated myself to understanding the impact of food on autoimmune conditions, chronic illness, and general longevity.

My strict elimination diet has given me another chance at a long, healthy life but the restrictions make it difficult to find snacks for when I am on the go, busy, traveling, or for when I simply miss potato chips and that satisfying "crunch". While traveling between Mexico and Southeast Asia, I discovered that many other countries sold incredible cassava, sweet potato, coconut, and plantain products that I could actually eat! Now, I am on a mission to share these products with an American audience and help others maintain their good health through food.
